North Country Recycles is an initiative of the Development Authority of the North Country to educate residents and businesses in Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence counties about the benefits of reducing, reusing, and recycling materials. Educators are our frontline workers in educating future generations of youth about recycling. As part of our educational programming, educational tours of the landfill are offered for student groups. Through guided tours and presentations, visitors gain valuable insight into waste management processes, the importance of recycling, recycling techniques and environmental conservation efforts at the facility. Materials Management staff members serve as guides on your bus.
